Yvette Meche

Mrs. Meche graduated with honors from Houston Baptist University, earning a BS in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading.  She taught 3rd grade Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) prior to “retiring” and becoming a stay at home mother to her two children.  Her eldest completed the entire Head Start to Reading curriculum through classes and began kindergarten in the fall of 2016 reading at a 3rd grade level.  Her youngest recently completed two full sessions of My Route to Reading, private individual instruction with Mrs. Miller. Along with Mrs. Meche’s continued enrichment, he has become a successful confident reader as well. In addition to her regular teaching experience, Mrs. Meche has worked with children in many ways: private tutor in reading, language arts, and writing in CFISD for children from kindergarten through middle school, served as a mentor to a 4th and 5th grader in CFISD’s Mentor Program, pre-school Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, and small group leader.
